Job Description :

The Technical Lead provides strategic direction and technical expertise to their feature teams. They drive the delivery of high-quality software solutions, ensuring the effective use of resources, best practices, and ownership to achieve business objectives. This includes owning and solving complex problems, obtaining and achieving buy-in from their team and fostering collaboration with Product Owners. They take direction from their Engineering lead, implement operational improvements and work with Solution Architecture on roadmaps for their components and teams work, while also considering what we are delivering to ensure we are delivering the best business value for the organisation. They often have to help coach others within their teams on technical elements and may dive into work themselves to achieve the right outcome.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Facilitates technical and business discussions to help define the work needed to achieve minimum required business value. Leading the transition from Design to build and beyond.
  • Coaches team members on important, relevant concepts, maintains knowledge and awareness of business and technical initiatives, driving teams ongoing growth and development.
  • Mentors and coaches the members within the team, governs outcomes and ensures alignment with the Delivery and OKRs.
  • Be hands on to help the team to develop business value driven solutions and solve all surfacing problems at hand Identifies and challenges existing practices and mindsets to drive the best outcome.
  • Helps the Solution Architects align stakeholders around the roadmap for implementing improvements within their teams.
  • Leads and drives end to end software delivery ensuring business expectations on delivery and code quality are met.
  • Works with Devops and Release to enable faster release and deployment cycles.
  • Leads the technical investigation of incidents and uses data to get ahead of problems and potential issues.
  • Feeds into planning processes to look for opportunities to implement changes to how we work that will provide maximum short- and long-term business value.
  • Works with other technical leads to ensure a co-ordinated and consistent delivery for the Engineering Lead
  • Demonstrates technical ownership and leadership over their teams' journeys, components, and capabilities.
  • Ensure the correct blend of resources within their team, (fixed capacity, MSA usage) and liaison with Suppliers and Supplier Management.
