Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students and staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, using de-escalation and calming techniques to manage challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement behavior plans that promote student success.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to address these.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, and contribute to the development of student profiles.
- Experience working with children with additional needs, preferably in a Pupil Referral Unit or similar setting.
- Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, and to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
