Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team at Primary Care Careers in Colchester. This part-time role will involve providing urgent medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including the practice and patient homes.
Main Responsibilities
- Respond to referrals and provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in need.
- Support the development of our on-the-day emergency patient service in the practice.
- Triage and prioritize home visit requests.
- Evaluate clinical information and initiate appropriate treatment and/or referral.
- Maintain accurate clinical records.

We are a town centre practice with a list size of 9000 patients. We use Emis Web and consult with patients using a range of methods, including face-to-face, video, and telephone. Our practice prides itself on supporting staff with their personal and professional goals.
Person Specification
Essential
- Paramedic with HCPC registration and post-registration experience, ideally in primary care.
Desirable
- Ability to assess, plan, treat, and refer patients confidently.
- Experience of working to protocols and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of autonomous practice and multi-professional team working.
