Job Overview

FincSelect is seeking a skilled Trade Surveillance Officer to join their team. As a key member of the commodities giant's surveillance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of the firm's trading activities.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in trade and ecomms surveillance, with a strong understanding of commodities products and investment banking practices. A background in QA and a keen eye for detail will also be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and calibrate new surveillances, collaborating with IT and Systems teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Analyze and review surveillance alerts and reports, documenting findings and escalating matters as necessary.
  • Conduct data analysis to support the firm's response to regulatory inquiries.
  • Develop and implement e-communications surveillance policies and procedures.
  • Prepare key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Support advisory and implementation work on new/changed regulations.
Requirements
  • Proven trade and ecomms surveillance experience.
  • Current or recent investment banking experience (desirable).
  • Exposure to commodities products (desirable, not essential).
  • Strong understanding of target operating models.
  • QA experience.
