Job Title: Configuration Engineer

Job Summary:

Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled Configuration Engineer to join our Edinburgh team. As a Configuration Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of configuration management processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans, procedures, and guidelines
  • Review and verify documentation to ensure compliance with established guidelines
  • Manage the approval process for new documentation and updates to existing documentation
  • Record, distribute, and control documentation received from internal and external parties
  • Manage problem reports from initiation to final disposition
  • Support trials modifications to investigate problem reports and ensure results are captured
  • Manage change requests from initiation to final disposition
  • Collate change impact assessments from Technical Review Boards
  • Support the Change Initiator and Technical Review Board through consultation
  • Determine if fast-track criteria is met and route change using the Fast-Track workflow
  • Prepare agendas, chair Configuration Review Boards, and set Point of Embodiment and Priority for implementation
  • Determine change classification based on established criteria
  • Implement, plan, and coordinate changes into both design and physical products
Requirements:
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to articulate and explain technical understanding
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Support knowledge sharing and exploitation of best practice
