We partner with multiple NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups nationwide to provide patients with access to community services closer to their home, including diagnostic services, gynaecology services, dermatological diagnosis and treatment, ophthalmology services, and extended minor surgery procedures.


About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phototherapy/Patch-Testing Nurse to join our dermatology team. As a registered nurse with significant post-registration experience, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of care in various nurse-led follow-up clinics, including patch testing and phototherapy.

You will have a degree in nursing and possess knowledge of dermatology, with experience in delivering dermatology treatments being essential. You must be willing to undertake any necessary training and have the ability to work independently and as part of the dermatology team.

Flexibility in working days is essential to ensure service levels are maintained. You will report to the Clinical Governance Manager and work with them to audit and develop the nurse-led follow-up services.

The successful candidate will be able to provide high standards of care in various nurse-led follow-up clinics, including:

  • Patch Testing
  • Phototherapy (Narrowband UVB)


About You


  • Minimum 12 months experience in dermatology, specifically in eczema
  • Minimum 12 months experience in phototherapy and patch testing
  • Ability to read and interpret results
  • Completion of investigations, treatments, nurse-led clinics, and supporting numerous dermatology clinics
  • Supporting patient pathways in dermatology and participating fully in the treatment and monitoring of patients
  • Supporting and advising patients on the promotion of health and prevention of illness, teaching patients and their relatives where appropriate
  • Supporting the community dermatology clinics and providing education and resources for patients and families
  • The post holder will be expected to demonstrate self-initiative and the ability to manage their own caseload for the nurse follow-up clinics

Hours: 6AM - 8PM

Full-time/Part-time/Bank

Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Band 5/6

Opportunities may arise for further clinical work in addition to the basic contract. This will be delivered on a flexible timetable to cover for holidays and sick leave.
