About the Role:
The team at ZipRecruiter are partnering with a leading financial services and insurance business, who are searching for a Procurement & Risk Manager to join the team working mostly remotely.
This role is unique, in that it is not a traditional procurement position, but rather will focus heavily on 3rd party risk management and supplier contract management, with the incumbent also ensuring the business is compliant to regulations and stakeholder requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement consistent procurement processes across the business.
- Ensure that all checks are completed before contracts are signed, including Information Risk and Security Assessments, Legal and Financial checks, and then effectively keeping a sound contract management process regarding signing, terminating, renewing, and exiting for all IT services.
- Develop a holistic method for managing third-party risks, which may include carrying out control activities for suppliers and assessing and documenting contingency arrangements for critical services.
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier register and inventory to allow for full governance across the business, whilst proactively managing supplier relationships for the benefit of the business.
- Ensure that the business is able to meet the requirements of major stakeholders.
Requirements:
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have previous procurement experience, specifically handling 3rd party risk management and supplier contract management. Ideally, this experience should come from the financial services and/or insurance sector.
This will also accompany an excellent package including competitive holiday entitlement and pension contribution, as well as additional monetary incentives and discounts. This role can be worked mostly remote, with a couple of days per month in London, Paddington expected and the rest worked from home.
Alongside this, there will be excellent routes for progression in this position, fully supported by a dedicated team and senior management, as well as access to market-leading training material and industry/market information relevant to the role to keep your knowledge up to date.
