Job Opportunity: Sports Coach

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sports Coach to join our team at a Specialist School in Harrogate. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering and teaching sports to students aged 8-16 with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs.

The ideal candidate will have a coaching or sports/PE based degree and experience working with students who have SEMH needs. You will also need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle, as the school is located in a rural area with limited public transport.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering and teaching sports to students aged 8-16
  • Working with students who have SEMH needs
  • Developing and implementing sports programs to meet the needs of students
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to support student learning
  • Providing feedback and guidance to students on their sports performance
