ROLE OVERVIEW
We are in search of an Assistant Kitchen Manager to become a vital part of our expanding team at a beloved Cotswold establishment. You will collaborate closely with Head Chef Taylor Jones and Sous Chef Chloe Dicken to create innovative, freshly prepared dishes utilizing ingredients primarily sourced from our organic farms.
COMPENSATION: Tronc
WORK HOURS: Full-time 48H
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to: Head Chef
CULINARY TASKS
Execute all menu items according to established specifications.
Assist the Sous Chef in crafting creative, seasonal specials that showcase farm-fresh produce.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Handle all ingredients with care and respect.
KITCHEN OPERATIONS
Ensure compliance with kitchen audit standards.
Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment.
Adhere to the cleaning schedule consistently.
Ensure kitchen equipment is well-maintained and operational, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Maintain awareness of stock levels and communicate low stock to the Head Chef/Sous Chef.
Assist in managing kitchen inventory and ordering processes to ensure availability, minimize waste, and meet budgeted gross profit targets.
Understand the significance of payroll percentage in kitchen operations.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT
Mentor junior kitchen staff through training and development initiatives.
Serve as a role model for the kitchen team in work ethic, service quality, and professional skills.

YOUR GOALS:
Support the Head/Sous Chef in achieving internal food quality standards of +85%.
Assist in attaining a 5-star rating from local health authorities.
Contribute to the delivery of 72% in performance metrics.
Mentor junior chefs and facilitate module sign-offs.
Complete all mandatory training requirements in a timely manner.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proficient cooking skills across all kitchen sections.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to support and nurture junior chefs.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
