Teaching Assistant Trainee Opportunity

GSL Education - Hull is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant Trainee. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a variety of schools, working closely with experienced teachers and support staff.

About the Role
  • Support students in their educational journey, working collaboratively with class teachers to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
  • Assist in managing and guiding behavior, implementing school policies and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Work with teachers to develop and deliver engaging lessons, using formative and summative assessments to track progress.
  • Support phonics education, promote independence with life skills, and provide outstanding safeguarding and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to students, adapting to individual needs and learning styles.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of lesson plans, ensuring a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify and address areas of concern, promoting student progress and well-being.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and respectful school culture, upholding the values of GSL Education - Hull.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable adults, with a proactive and caring approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to undergo the process) and a fully checkable work history.
  • A driving license or willingness to use public transport, with good mental and physical health, resilience, and reliability.
  • Ability to work with vulnerable and challenging students in a school environment, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
