Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Construction Planner, you will be instrumental in supporting large-scale construction initiatives, necessitating a strong background in scheduling, risk assessment, and technical planning.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project timelines utilizing Primavera P6.
  • Ensuring compliance with schedule quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Performing quantitative schedule risk assessments to pinpoint potential project delays and formulating mitigation strategies.
  • Serving as a technical authority on planning and scheduling, offering guidance and support to project teams.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to incorporate project requirements into scheduling processes.
  • Tracking and reporting on project advancements, identifying discrepancies from established plans, and suggesting corrective measures.
  • Participating in client discussions and presentations as a subject matter expert in project scheduling.

Requirements

To excel in the role of Lead Construction Planner, candidates should possess a solid understanding of NEC contracts, proficiency in Primavera P6 software, and experience in quantitative schedule risk analysis methodologies. Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Eligibility for security clearance or the ability to obtain it.
  • Extensive experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a background in quantitative schedule risk analysis.
  • A relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Membership in a recognized professional organization such as APM (Association for Project Management) is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
