Strategic Performance Manager

The Office for Environmental Protection is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Performance Manager to join our Business Strategy and Planning team. This is a senior role that will play a critical part in helping us achieve our mission to protect and improve the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead our work to understand how we implement our strategy and plans, and what we're achieving, to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
- Develop and deliver our programme management approach, change controls, delivery monitoring, and reporting to ensure maximum value for money from our resources.
- Work with the Executive Committee, Board, and others to develop our organisational business plan, and support our allocation of resources within Government planning processes.
- Lead our small project management team to ensure good project management is embedded across all of our work, and deliver our planned activities to time, budget, and scope.
- Support the Head of Business Strategy and Planning in developing and implementing the OEP's corporate strategy, including leading specific projects to assess and recommend solutions to key issues.
- Proven experience in a senior business strategy or programme management role, with a track record of delivering high-impact results.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels and convey information clearly and confidently to senior decision-makers.
- Ability to work in an agile and flexible way, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting organisational priorities.
- A competitive salary of £51,626, with a contribution towards your membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme.
