About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic nurses to join our Adult Community Mental Health Services in St Albans. Our local Adult Community Mental Health Services are developing mini teams to enhance our clinic provision for medicines administration and physical health support. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge of nursing in a community setting, working closely with colleagues in a small supportive team, and making a real difference to the quality of services.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Participate in regular supervision sessions and benefit from ongoing continuing professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to excellent learning and development opportunities for staff, as well as strengthening clinical research.
- Manage a patient caseload, conducting specialist mental health care assessments and developing, implementing, evaluating, and documenting specialized care plans.
- Utilize a variety of clinical skills appropriate to the needs of each individual and the clinical setting.
- Provide ongoing interventions for patients where assessment indicates this is relevant to their well-being.
- Ensure safe administration, carriage, and storage of medication in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Mental Health Act (1983), Care Programme Approach (CPA), Risk Assessment, and Section 25, among other relevant legislation.
- Effectively communicate with multi-professional teams and foster strong teamwork.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care under supervision.
