Job Summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers is seeking a highly skilled ATEX Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting hazardous area inspections and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards
  • Ensure adherence to all Health and Safety legislation and regulations
  • Ensure high-quality installations in compliance with project quality plans and inspection and test plans
  • Follow and promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and stop work if unsafe circumstances arise
  • Coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices
  • Promote and demonstrate Bridges' values when interacting with peers, staff, customers, and clients
  • Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst peers
  • Act professionally and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting business goals and maintaining a positive company reputation

Requirements

  • ECS card / JIB Gold card
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
  • CompEx EX01-04
  • Experience within water, construction, or industrial industries
  • Good client engagement and communication skills
  • Able to manage own and others workload with minimal assistance from Project Managers in delivering safe profitable projects
  • CCNSG (or similar)
  • Fitness to work medical
  • Emergency first aid or First Aider
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • EUSR
  • PASMA / IPAF / Confined space
  • Experience of ATEX inspections & DSEAR regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 Test and Inspection qualified
  • Severn Trent Water LV SAP qualified
  • Industrial and/or panel wiring experience
  • Test and Inspect
