We are in search of a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to guide Earthwatch Europe into a transformative chapter of our journey. The successful candidate will spearhead the execution of our strategic initiatives, ensuring they yield significant and enduring outcomes while engaging and motivating citizens, businesses, and policymakers to take decisive action. Candidate Profile

  • A recognized authority with demonstrated expertise, experience, and a robust network in environmental science and nature conservation.
  • Proven track record of effectively leading a medium-sized environmental NGO or similar organization through periods of expansion while enhancing financial stability.
  • A strong commitment and enthusiasm for championing Earthwatch's strategic objectives and initiatives, particularly the role of citizen science in addressing environmental challenges.
  • Demonstrated capability to inspire, lead, and manage a seasoned management team, while collaborating effectively with an engaged Board and Chair.
  • Exceptional skills in media relations, communication, and partnership development, with experience in leveraging these to foster growth, enhance visibility, and support fundraising efforts.
  • Ambition, aptitude, and personal gravitas to take ownership of and drive the successful implementation of Earthwatch Europe's strategy, aimed at expanding organizational activities, diversifying revenue streams, and maximizing impact.
