Join Counter Terrorism Policing as an Intelligence Officer and contribute to the safety and security of our communities.

About the Role

As an Intelligence Officer, you will work closely with Intelligence Analysts and Researchers to gather, evaluate, and disseminate intelligence for various objectives. You will be responsible for managing threats, harm, and risk to the force and region, supporting the effective use of the National Decision Model (NDM).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and assessments on individuals identified as high-harm threats, gathering and analyzing intelligence to produce case files and subject profiles.
  • Identify intelligence gaps and help set intelligence requirements, supporting live operational activity with real-time research and evaluation of information.
  • Manage information to ensure it is up-to-date and accurate, accessing police systems and open-source material to enhance the intelligence picture.
  • Handle covertly obtained material in accordance with policy and process, working with partner agencies to provide intelligence support to major covert investigations.
  • Conduct intelligence debriefs and prepare RIPA applications, contributing to the development of intelligence-led policing strategies.
