Role Summary

We are looking for Examiners to support the Level 1/2 Technical Award in Engineering under a flexible worker contract. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with current or recent instructional experience in engineering or design technology disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate external assessments as needed and report results through our systems within designated timelines.
  • Adhere to the standards established by the Chief Examiner, applying the marking criteria consistently and accurately.
  • Report any suspected malpractice or safeguarding issues to the Assessment Delivery team.
  • Participate in examiner standardization and training sessions, as well as other required meetings – standardization events will be organized on weekdays between 9.00am-5.00pm and may involve travel.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of NCFE assessment materials, learner evidence, and personal details, reporting any breaches to the Assessment Delivery team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A professional qualification (Level 4 or higher) in the engineering or design technology field.
  • Current or recent teaching experience in engineering or design technology subjects.
  • Knowledge of effective quality assurance practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
