About the Role

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Examiners for the Level 1/2 Technical Award in Engineering. This is a flexible worker contract that allows you to work remotely and choose your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marking external assessments and submitting results within set timescales
  • Applying the mark scheme consistently and accurately, following the standard set by the Chief Examiner
  • Reporting suspected malpractice or safeguarding concerns to the Assessment Delivery team
  • Attending examiner standardisation and training events, and other meetings as required
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of NCFE assessment materials, learner evidence, and learner details

Requirements

  • A professional qualification (at Level 4 or above) relating to the engineering or design technology sector
  • Current or recent teaching experience within an engineering or design technology related subject
  • An understanding of effective quality assurance mechanisms
  • The ability to work consistently within tight deadlines
