About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy General Manager to join our team at Barchester Healthcare Ltd. As a Deputy General Manager - Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. You will work closely with the General Manager and take on leadership duties in their absence, ensuring the smooth operation of the care home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in the delivery of care services and ensure that high standards are maintained.
  • Take on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager and ensure the continuity of care services.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure that residents receive the best possible quality of life.
  • Monitor standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Develop and deliver strategies to achieve goals and improve care services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. You will also need experience in helping residents with different health needs and a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. Additionally, you will need strong knowledge of sales and marketing, budget management, and experience in supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
