Octavius Finance is seeking to enhance its healthcare investment team by adding a skilled analyst. This position presents an exciting opportunity for individuals with a robust financial analysis background and a keen interest in the healthcare domain.
Role Summary:
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with experienced portfolio managers, with the potential for advancement to a junior portfolio manager role within a performance-driven environment. Candidates with experience in healthcare investment from various sectors, including Long/Short Equities, Asset Management, or reputable Equity Research teams at leading financial institutions, are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the oversight and evaluation of healthcare equity investments.
- Perform comprehensive research and analysis on healthcare firms, encompassing financial modeling, valuation assessments, and competitive landscape evaluations.
- Contribute to the generation of investment concepts and provide insights to senior portfolio managers.
- Engage in the development of investment strategies, including idea generation, due diligence, and stock selection.
- Keep abreast of market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory shifts impacting the healthcare sector.
- Participate in discussions with company executives, industry conferences, and other relevant events to gather insights that inform investment strategies.
- Work collaboratively with the research team to formulate sector-specific investment approaches.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fundamental Equity Analyst, specializing in healthcare equities.
- Candidates from Long Only Asset Managers, L/S Hedge Funds, or Equity Research teams at leading financial institutions will be considered.
- Experience in Long/Short equities is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A strong interest in public market investments and a passion for healthcare equities are essential.
