Role Overview

Fresha is in search of a dynamic and seasoned Chief Media Strategist to spearhead our media strategy, planning, and execution. This position demands a visionary leader with a solid background in econometric planning, media mix modeling, and omni-channel integration. The Chief Media Strategist will play a crucial role in enhancing media productivity, connection planning, and media negotiations to optimize our media investments and elevate our market presence.

Reporting directly to the Global VP of Brand & Marketing, and collaborating closely with:

  • Performance Marketing: Work in tandem to align media strategies with performance marketing goals.
  • Brand Marketing: Ensure media initiatives support brand campaigns and objectives.
  • Product Team: Coordinate with the product team to align media strategies with product launches and updates.
  • Data Analytics: Collaborate with data analysts to extract actionable insights from media performance metrics.
  • Creative Team: Partner with the creative team to produce engaging and effective media content.

The primary goal of the Chief Media Strategist is to formulate and implement a comprehensive media strategy that maximizes ROI, fosters customer engagement, and aligns with Fresha's growth objectives. This encompasses utilizing data-driven insights to refine media expenditure, ensuring effective cross-channel integration, and maintaining a competitive advantage in the media landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration: Engage closely with Performance Marketing, Brand Marketing, Product, Data Analytics, and Creative teams to ensure a unified media strategy and seamless partner experience.
  • Media Strategy Development: Design and execute a holistic media strategy that aligns with Fresha's business objectives and marketing goals.
  • Econometric Planning & Media Mix Modeling: Apply econometric techniques and media mix modeling to forecast and assess the impact of media investments across various channels.
  • Omni-Channel Integration: Guarantee seamless integration of media efforts across all channels, enhancing the overall customer journey.
  • Connection Planning: Develop and implement connection plans that effectively reach and engage target audiences.
  • Media Planning & Productivity: Oversee the creation of detailed media plans, manage copy rotation, drive media productivity through thorough analysis and optimization, and maintain relationships with external media agencies.
  • Media Negotiation: Lead negotiations with media vendors to secure optimal rates and value for Fresha.
  • Programmatic Media: Supervise and enhance programmatic media buying to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analytics & Trends: Stay informed about media trends and leverage analytics to guide strategic decisions.
  • Segmentation Strategy: Develop and implement effective segmentation strategies to target and engage diverse customer segments.

Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in media planning, buying, and strategy, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Econometric Planning & Media Mix Modeling: Proven expertise in applying econometrics and media mix modeling to enhance media expenditure.
  • Omni-Channel Integration: Strong background in crafting and executing omni-channel media strategies.
  • Connection Planning & Media Planning: Proficient in connection and media planning, with a history of successful campaigns.
  • Media Productivity & Negotiation: Demonstrated ability to drive media productivity and achieve cost efficiencies, with extensive experience in negotiating with media vendors.
  • Analytics & Trends: Skilled in utilizing media analytics and staying current with industry trends.
  • Segmentation Strategy & Agency Management: Proficient in developing and executing segmentation strategies, with a proven ability to manage and collaborate with external media agencies.
  • Programmatic Media: Strong understanding and experience in programmatic media buying and optimization.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with excellent collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
