About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and ambitious Commercial Finance Director to join one of the fastest growing start-ups in the UK. This is a unique opportunity to scale a PE backed business and lead it through to exit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a commercial culture of high performance and delivery, working closely with the leadership team to embed finance in all operational support and decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a commercial finance strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of finance, including controls, reporting, and accounting.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Manage a capable and motivated finance team.
  • Lead commercial insights into product performance and customer profitability.
  • Present commercial updates and insights at board level.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant with an exemplary academic background.
  • Stable and progressive career in finance.
  • Hands-on finance leader who can build a finance team and support the board.
  • Experience in fintech, ecommerce, retail, and technology businesses.
  • Proven track record in growing an SME, Scale Up, or Start Up.
