About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Portsmouth. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to adults with learning disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred care and support to adults with learning disabilities, assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support service users in accessing community resources and participating in social and recreational activities, promoting independence and encouraging the development of new skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with service users and their families, monitoring and recording progress and well-being.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all service users, working effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality care and support.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a caring and empathetic nature and a genuine desire to make a difference.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, with a valid driving licence preferred but not required.
