Permanent Position Available

We are seeking an experienced B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a well-respected MRO in South Wales. The successful candidate will have a strong background in aircraft maintenance, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Base Maintenance. The role will involve leading a team of technicians and mechanics, ensuring correct completion of paperwork and forms, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and mentor a team of technicians and mechanics in all aspects of Base Maintenance checks.
  2. Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and forms as required by the Company MOE or published procedures.
  3. Communicate effectively with the Bay Manager and Production Planners regarding maintenance requirements and potential or actual issues.
  4. Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed in a timely manner, including personnel allocated to assist in the task.
  5. Allocate correct timings to tasks and ensure accurate bookings on task cards.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 5 years' aircraft maintenance experience, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Base Maintenance.
  2. Ability to use recognized aircraft documentation.
  3. Demonstrates a broad skillset in aircraft systems, including rigging, component replacement, and modification embodiment.
  4. Good structural assessment and repair knowledge.
  5. Ability to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of aircraft system(s).
  6. B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence: Must be UK CAA AML or EASA AML issued pre or UK CAA AML & EASA AML issued post.
