We are looking for a HIL Test Engineer to become a vital part of our Automotive team.

Your Responsibilities

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Adapting and developing test specifications and scripts based on system requirements.
  • Conducting verification and validation testing on Labcar and Vehicle, including test design, analysis, reporting, and issue management.
  • Creating test methodologies aligned with system requirements, including automation, execution, and reporting.
  • Setting up test environments, Labcar, and HIL rigs.
  • Developing automated test cases, including fault insertion and diagnostics to support system integration and verification.
  • Monitoring and reviewing testing and validation timelines.
  • Investigating and resolving problems.

This position requires on-site presence. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with Body, Chassis, Thermal, Powertrain, ADAS, and Infotainment systems.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle instrumentation, data acquisition, calibration, and diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic protocols such as ISO14229 and J1939.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Relevant project experience in the automotive or engineering sectors, particularly in agile environments.
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing for embedded control products.
  • Experience with Product Development Processes or OEM development processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • The ability to work independently, with a strong focus on task completion and attention to detail.
  • Capability to thrive in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a proven record of mentoring junior team members.

Security Clearance

Successful candidates will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, but further checks may be required for those who have lived outside the UK in the last three years.
