About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team at Atom Recruitment Ltd. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling industrial chemicals and services across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Collaborate with our Sales Manager and Business Development function to establish and implement sales plans, promoting our portfolio of chemicals and services to maximize sales and meet budget expectations.
  • Customer Relationships: Act as a key point of contact between our company and customers, answering technical and commercial enquiries, making regular customer visits, and introducing new chemicals and/or principals as required.
  • Sales Activities: Organize and plan sales visits, attend trade exhibitions, conferences, sales meetings, and training as required, managing and developing both existing and new sales.
  • Performance Management: Regularly review progress of sales over the budgeted year, providing sales updates/forecasts on all sales area accounts as and when required.
  • Compliance and Governance: Implement sales policies, practices, and procedures in line with instruction from our Sales Manager, undertaking professional development training to enhance all aspects of the salesperson's role when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Education: Chemistry/Science graduate or equivalent
  • Experience: Experience of working within a technical environment, some field sales experience in the chemical industry is desirable but not essential
  • Skills: Business acumen, commercial experience, clean and current UK driving license, comfortable with the volume of travelling required to cover the territory, team player, strong organizational skills, self-motivation, friendly, efficient customer service attitude, excellent verbal and written communications skills, comfortable and confident when presenting to customers and colleagues, ability to listen and interpret customer needs, forward-thinking and proactive attitude to problem solving, fluent in English, both verbal and written communication, proficient at Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

What We Offer:

A salary of c£40,000 per annum basic, plus car, bonus, and benefits.
