Position: Infant and Toddler Swimming Instructor

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Swimming Instructor with a background in teaching Parent and Baby or Parent and Toddler swimming lessons, or relevant early childhood experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver the Learn to Swim program in accordance with company standards and the Swim England framework.
  • Implement Swim England's Discovery Ducklings and Ducklings criteria.

Daily Duties:
  • Instruct students of various ages and skill levels as per the Swim England Learn to Swim framework, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, customer service, and health and safety in line with company policies.
  • Enhance participant retention in swimming lessons through quality instruction, motivation, and exceptional customer care.
  • Foster effective communication with the swim manager, reception, and duty management.
  • Address customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly.

Candidate Profile:
  • Ideally, possess an SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teaching qualification or equivalent, with a focus on the Swim England Learn to Swim framework.
  • Candidates lacking the SEQ Level 2 qualification but with prior early years experience will be considered.
  • Those with an SEQ Level 1 Assistant Teaching qualification may also apply, with opportunities for training to achieve the SEQ Level 2 qualification.
  • The NRASTC or NPLQ qualification is preferred, but comprehensive training will be provided for successful candidates.
  • Strong communication skills with both children and adults in a teaching environment are essential.
  • Ability to build rapport and respect among colleagues and customers is crucial.
  • Flexibility in working hours is necessary to meet the demands of the role.
  • A passion for continuously improving the swim lesson program and enhancing service quality for swimmers and customers is highly valued.
