Parent and Baby / Toddler Swimming Instructor at Parkwood Leisure Ltd.
Location: Spiceball Leisure Centre | Part Time | Flexible Hours Available
Role ResponsibilitiesThe primary focus of the Swimming Instructor will be:
- To effectively implement the Learn to Swim program in accordance with company standards and the Swim England framework.
- To deliver the Swim England's Discovery Ducklings, Ducklings, and advanced levels.
The Swimming Instructor will engage in the following activities:
- Teach individuals of various ages and skill levels according to the Swim England Learn to Swim framework while managing necessary administrative tasks.
- Maintain high standards of teaching, customer service, and health and safety in line with company protocols.
- Enhance participant retention in swimming lessons through quality instruction, motivation, and exceptional customer service.
- Establish effective communication with the swim manager, reception staff, and duty management.
- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A qualification in SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teaching or an equivalent certification is preferred.
- Consideration will be given to candidates with prior early years experience who do not hold the SEQ Level 2 qualification.
- Candidates with an SEQ Level 1 Assistant Teaching qualification may be considered with the intention to pursue the SEQ Level 2 qualification.
- Desirable qualifications include NRASTC or NPLQ; however, comprehensive training will be provided for successful applicants.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both children and adults in a teaching environment.
- The ability to foster respect and rapport with colleagues and customers, building strong relationships.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet the demands of the role.
- A passion for continuously improving the swim lesson program and enhancing service delivery to participants.
