Main Duties
  1. Liaise with ward staff to plan and deliver recreational activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our patients.
  2. Work closely with patients and their relatives to identify and develop creative and recreational needs and outlets.
  3. Participate actively in the wider multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development and implementation of holistic care plans.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals to promote the role of the Activities Coordinator and encourage participation in activities.
  5. Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, including those who may be considered difficult to engage or present a risk to themselves or others.
  6. Assist and support patients in participating in meaningful and purposeful activities and routines.
  7. Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives on the ward.
  8. Communicate the role and benefits of the Activities Coordinator to ensure uptake and understanding of the service.
