Job Summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Apprentice Structural Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of building designs and contributing to the growth and success of the company.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to transition into a career in structural engineering. You will work closely with experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in building design, analysis, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of building designs, including conceptual design, detailed design, and construction documentation
  • Conduct building analysis and modeling using industry-standard software
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and resolve design issues and conflicts
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of design work and project progress
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of project plans and schedules

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building design or a related field
  • Strong academic background in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or architecture
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as Autodesk Revit or ETABS
