Job Title: Product Safety Manager

Location: Bracknell, with hybrid working

Salary Range: £57,000 - £70,000 per annum

About the Company: Become a part of the Waitrose Quality & Regulatory and Technical team as a Product Safety Manager. This position requires expertise in product safety and microbiology within a commercial framework. You will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure adherence to regulations and accomplish collective objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and resolve existing challenges to maintain brand integrity
  • Lead initiatives focused on product safety and ensure organizational compliance
  • Promote food safety and authenticity initiatives
  • Oversee and revise the Food Safety Policy

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in managing food safety incidents
  • Specialized training in topics such as allergens and microbiology

Desirable Skills:

  • Formal qualification in Food Science or Microbiology
  • Commercial insight and capability to educate technical teams
  • Experience in manufacturing is advantageous
