Babcock International Group is a leading provider of complex engineering services, and we're seeking a highly skilled Submarine Proposal Senior Manager to join our team in Bristol.

The Role

As a Submarine Proposal Senior Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting our growth strategy by leading our teams in the development and delivery of high-value proposals. You'll be responsible for managing complex design and manufacture bids, ensuring that delivery teams understand cost, time, and quality requirements, and remain coordinated in their approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management of complex design and manufacture bids
  • Operate throughout the project lifecycle, supporting with requirement capture, scoping, technical and commercial solutions, and the generation of pricing models and proposal documents
  • Provide effective risk management to ensure that the business' risk exposure is kept to a minimum and is effectively managed throughout the project
  • Ensure that effective change management is applied to projects, balancing flexibility to changing customer requirements with the need for robust commercial agreements

Essential Experience

  • Considerable experience in generation of proposals
  • Experienced in leading and managing a team of project staff, providing direction and motivation
  • Experienced managing a portfolio of bids with differing demands and deadlines
  • Experienced financial management skills
  • Experienced delivering solutions

Qualifications

  • It is ideal, but not essential, for you to have one of the following: APM PMQ, Chartered status or equivalent

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
