Job Title: Caretaker Burnley

We are seeking an experienced Caretaker to join our team at a Secondary school in Burnley. The ideal candidate will have a background in maintenance or a related field and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out security procedures for school buildings and grounds, including opening and closing of premises, gates, doors, windows, and fire exits.
  • Regularly check the proper operation and function of alarms and fire equipment, ensuring emergency exits are not obstructed.
  • Liaise with emergency services, including calling out as required.
  • Report acts of theft or vandalism.
  • Perform general maintenance duties around the school, including litter picking and cleaning.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a Caretaker or Maintenance role, preferably in a School setting.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 11:00am-19:00pm.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to purchase a new DBS.
