Job Summary:

EdEx – Education Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our client's supportive and friendly team. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will work closely with the SEND, Pastoral, and Safeguarding teams to address the additional needs of students and reduce barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements, and Safeguarding needs.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, Work Experience Placements, Learning Skills Centre, and Colleges Links.
  • Plan and run group sessions and 1:1 sessions addressing the needs of students.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a keen interest in Mental Health, Therapy, Psychological Research, Education, Speech and Language, Special Needs, and related fields. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
