Job Opportunity in Public Health

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Specialty Registrar in Public Health. This is an exciting opportunity to gain a well-rounded insight and experience in Public Health practice, including health protection, health improvement, and health inequalities reduction.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with a dedicated team of multi-disciplinary Public Health Consultants, Nurse Specialists, Health Improvement Specialists, and Public Health managers. The role will involve working with the Public Health Directorate, which has close links with the three Local Authorities in North East Scotland, the local Community Planning and Integrated Health and Social Care Boards, and wider Public Health collaborators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of public health policies and strategies
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and address health inequalities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve health outcomes
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform public health decisions
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required.
