Position Overview
Verify, Inc. is a prominent provider of integrated systems for various aviation sectors, including commercial and military applications. We are currently seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our PCB team.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Manufacturing or Process Engineer to leverage their expertise in refining our manufacturing workflows. The selected candidate will be tasked with developing and assessing procedures, pinpointing and implementing process enhancements to address intricate production challenges. Additionally, the role involves supporting operational plans while maintaining a keen awareness of overall business objectives and ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.
With anticipated production increases of approximately 40% by the end of 2024, this position offers the exciting challenge of integrating new technologies into our manufacturing operations and further advancing our process management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee designated process controls within our manufacturing operations.
- Establish and manage production methodologies, including tooling and equipment.
- Validate design specifications and the application of new products, tools, or machinery on the production floor.
- Promote accountability through regular operational reviews to ensure engineering tasks align with production needs.
- Assess quality control procedures and propose enhancements.
- Analyze and report on production metrics, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, equipment availability, and waste management.
- Act as a key participant in the selection of new equipment, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance of manufacturing processes with relevant policies and regulations.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to maintain operational efficiency of production equipment.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for process improvements.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in PCB manufacturing.
- Familiarity with handling and dispensing low viscosity fluids, both manually and automatically.
- Background in process engineering control plans, capability analysis, and problem resolution.
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualifications.
- Understanding of first article inspection and engineering change management.
- Experience in aerospace, military, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and new product introduction.
Essential Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Capability to program manufacturing machinery.
- Proven ability to manage projects and handle demanding workloads.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
