We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH/EBD Teaching Assistant to join our team at PK Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a special school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and engage with SEN pupils in class, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring the needs of all pupils are met.
  • Assess and track progress of pupils, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and organized classroom environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience of working as a SEMH/EBD Teaching Assistant in a special school setting.
  • Flexibility and availability for full-time work.
  • Current, valid DBS (update service).
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies.
Desirable Skills:
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of situations.
  • Strategic thinking and planning.
  • Caring attitude and passion for contributing to the learning and development of pupils.
  • Confident and warm approach.
