Role Overview:

We are in search of an energetic and fully qualified English Instructor to become part of our team and positively influence secondary education in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering captivating and effective English lessons to students aged 11-18, igniting a passion for literature, language, and effective communication.

Key Duties:

  • Design and implement high-quality English lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and success.
  • Tailor instruction to accommodate the varied needs of all students, including those with special educational requirements.
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback to aid their academic growth.
  • Contribute to the advancement of the English department through collaborative planning and resource sharing.
  • Engage with parents, guardians, and school personnel to enhance student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in extracurricular initiatives, such as clubs or school events, to enrich the educational experience.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A degree in English or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level (KS3, KS4, and preferably KS5).
  • Strong classroom management abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for education.
  • Enhanced DBS and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
