We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Content and Social Media Executive to join our team at Smartbox Assistive Technology. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive content strategy that showcases our innovative assistive communication technology and resonates with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and curate high-quality content for various digital platforms, including our website, blog, social media channels, and internal intranet.
- Collaborate with our speech therapists and AAC specialists to create engaging content that highlights the impact of our technology on individuals with disabilities.
- Uncover and share the stories of people who use our technology to communicate and achieve their goals, leveraging user-generated content and creating case studies.
- Manage our content calendar and social media channels, ensuring consistent and on-brand content that drives engagement and brand awareness.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns that align with our broader marketing and PR activity, leveraging analytics to inform and optimize our strategy.
- Respond to messages and comments, build relationships, and drive conversation in our online communities.
- Produce regular reports monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to inform future content and marketing decisions.
- Benchmark our activity against industry competitors.
- Support the marketing activity around external events, from promotion to post-event communications, and create materials to grow awareness of Smartbox.
- Work with our Corporate Communications Manager to develop social media strategies and content plans.
- Collaborate with our Product Marketing Manager to develop content plans that support product launches and new features in our flagship AAC software.
- Develop graphic design skills to create eye-catching content using Canva.
- Film and edit videos, reels, and stories for social media, and longer-form videos for our websites and learning platform.
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the assistive technology or healthcare sector.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to adopt a company voice and create content for diverse audiences.
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to create long and short-form content for various online channels.
- Experience researching and writing blog content or editorial, with knowledge of different content types and formats.
- Experience using Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter, and managing online communities.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- A passion for digital design, presentation, and attention to detail.
- Basic image creation and video editing skills, with experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Good IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience using analytical tools (social insights).
- Willingness to undertake a variety of marketing tasks and support the wider team.
- Self-motivated and a desire to learn, with an exceptional team player mindset.
- CIM/CIPR qualification or degree in a related field, such as marketing, communications, or digital media.
- Video creation and editing skills, with experience using video editing software.
- Graphic design and photography skills, with experience using design software.
- Experience using Mailchimp and Google Analytics, with knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of social media strategies, with experience creating and implementing social media campaigns.
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices, with experience creating accessible content.
- Experience working in the healthcare, education, or non-profit sector, with a passion for making a positive impact.
