About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Kai Manaaki/Registered Health Professional to join our team and work with our young Maori clients and their whanau. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing effective care management and key work based on kaupapa Maori principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement care plans that are tailored to the needs of our Maori clients and their whanau.
  • Work collaboratively with community agencies to ensure optimal engagement with our Maori clients and whanau.
  • Develop and facilitate groups for clients and whanau as needed, using a strengths-based approach.
  • Support the team in delivering a service based on matauranga Maori principles.
About Our Team

The Early Intervention Service is a multi-disciplinary team that offers assessment and treatment to young people who are experiencing psychosis for the first time. We aim to provide a bicultural, client-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative support program that is guided by the recovery-focused framework laid out in the book Recovery after a first episode of psychosis.
