About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our Estates and Facilities team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management of planned maintenance contracts, proactive and reactive maintenance, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage Planned Maintenance Contracts: Oversee the management of planned maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance and accountability.
  2. Proactive and Reactive Maintenance: Manage a planned and breakdown maintenance service for all mechanical and electrical plant and services.
  3. Customer-Focused Attitude: Demonstrate a customer-focused attitude, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  4. Supervisory Experience: Prior supervisory experience is highly desirable.
What You'll Bring

You will bring subject expertise and a willingness to work in a collaborative, supportive, and helpful way. You will:

  1. Manage the College's Planned Preventative Maintenance Contract: Oversee the management of the college's planned preventative maintenance contract.
  2. Manage Remedial Projects and Capital Projects: Manage remedial projects and capital projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  3. Lead on Decarbonisation Projects: Lead on decarbonisation projects, reducing the college's carbon footprint.
  4. Advise on Electrical and Mechanical Matters: Advise on electrical and mechanical matters across the department.
  5. Collaborative Team Player: Be willing to lend a hand when a colleague needs that little bit of extra support.

You should have relevant experience of working in a mechanical/electrical maintenance environment within the industrial or commercial sector.
