Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Phlebotomy Operations Manager to lead our Phlebotomy team within Pathology. This role will be instrumental in driving the delivery, development, and continuous improvement of our services, ensuring compliance with the latest ISO standards and meeting MHRA, HTA, and CQC requirements.

About the Role

The Phlebotomy Operations Manager will oversee and lead phlebotomy services across the Peterborough, Hinchingbrooke, and Stamford sites. Key responsibilities include managing rotas, recruitment, handling HR processes, investigating incidents, maintaining staff competency, and continuously improving service levels.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience of managing an operational service within a clinical setting
  • Experience of managing, supervising, recruiting, and training/mentoring staff
  • Understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Experience of change management and working within a Quality Management System
  • Knowledge of Pathology IT systems and Microsoft Packages
