Job Title: Health Care Support Worker
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Care Support Worker to join our team at The Deepings Practice. As a Health Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical team in delivering prescribed programmes of patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care under the direct supervision of the Senior & Deputy Practice Nurse and strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines and protocols.
- Perform BP Monitoring, New patient health checks/CVD screening, ECG recording, Phlebotomy, Urinalysis, Chaperoning duties, and other clinical activities as required.
- Assist the surgeons with minor operations and theatre surgical procedures, and maintain surgical equipment.
- Organise stock levels and ordering, correctly label all specimens, and ensure their safe dispatch.
- Provide care to housebound patients in their home/care home, and assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well-being.
- Form and maintain good working relationships with all members of the Primary Health Care Team colleagues and members of attached staff.
Requirements:
- Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- Desirable: Qualified in Phlebotomy (preferably, but we can provide training).
Working Arrangements: Full-time/Part-time, based at both The Deepings Practice and Glinton Surgery, responsible to Senior Practice Nurse, Practice Manager.
