Overview:
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Product Operations Executive to become part of our accomplished team. You will deliver administrative and operational assistance for our Walking and Special Interest holiday offerings both domestically and internationally. Your responsibilities will encompass the enhancement of existing holiday products and collaboration with Product Managers and in-house walking advisors to finalize content.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Product Operations Executive, your duties will include:
- Overseeing the effective administration of our holiday offerings, ensuring smooth coordination with holiday leaders and addressing their inquiries.
- Providing technical support, ensuring that all necessary equipment and resources are available.
- Creating on-brand materials, including maps and route directions sourced from partner information, and delivering precise and up-to-date dispatch documents and resources for leaders and tour managers.
- Engaging with ground agents and leaders to collect updated information, maintain holiday programs, and manage transport logistics.
- Maintaining records of operating costs to ensure that holiday operations remain within budget.
- Establishing and nurturing strong working relationships with both internal and external partners.
Handling ticket and admission bookings, as well as responding to guest inquiries, will be integral to your daily responsibilities. Your involvement in the creation, updating, and proofreading of marketing materials, including the website, guest trip notes, brochures, and intranet, will significantly contribute to the overall success of our operations. You may also participate in on-site visits to new and existing holiday destinations as required, collaborating with the Product Creation Team and Field Advisors to coordinate innovative holiday concepts.
Essential Skills:
- A passion for walking and leisure holidays, along with knowledge of prime walking areas and proficiency in map reading and navigation.
- Commercial awareness, strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in IT tools such as Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in interactions with external suppliers and volunteer walk leaders.
- A self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with effective time management skills, capable of responding promptly to issues and managing projects to meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills:
- Creative and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to apply research findings within the role as needed.
- A compelling communication style to convey enthusiasm for our holidays, both internally and externally.
- A genuine passion for travel with a proactive attitude in a team environment.
- Able to build strong and trustworthy relationships with suppliers and volunteer leaders.
- While primarily home-based, occasional travel to holiday destinations, as well as conferences and training events, may be necessary.
- Previous experience in the travel or activity industry is advantageous.
