Job Title: Deputy Examinations Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Deputy Examinations Manager to join our team at Oxford Brookes University. As a key member of our Examinations Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of examinations and related services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of casual invigilation staff to deliver main examination sessions in December and May, as well as resit and other small examination sessions throughout the year.
  • Assist the Examinations Manager in ensuring examination sessions run smoothly and supervise 3 administrative staff during exam sessions.
  • Take specific responsibility for the financial administration for both the Examinations and Timetabling teams, using the finance software E5 to manage orders and maintain accurate up-to-date financial records for the office.
  • Process Invigilator claim forms for Payroll for processing, ensuring claim forms correspond to University regulations.
Requirements:
  • Experience managing or supervising large examinations at a school/college or University.
  • Substantial experience working in administration (ideally in an educational institution).
  • Experience in management or supervision of staff.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team, but also able and willing to work on own initiative and learn new skills.
