Job Summary

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave in a technical administration role within the Production department. The successful candidate will work closely with a small team to ensure the smooth operation of stock control, purchasing, and production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock Control and Management: Utilize Excel to maintain balanced stock levels, ensuring timely and accurate inventory management.
  • Purchasing and Sourcing: Place purchase orders with suppliers, source components to meet production demands, and receive incoming goods.
  • Quality Assurance: Test incoming goods, report inconsistencies to suppliers, and maintain bills of materials on Excel.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with the production, conformity, and quality teams to ensure up-to-date work instructions, and liaise with external maintenance providers to resolve faults.
  • Visual Inspection and Preparation: Conduct visual inspections of products and prepare them for despatch.

Requirements

  • Administrative Experience: Previous experience in a similar administrative role, with a strong understanding of Excel and data management.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A can-do attitude, willingness to help others, and a collaborative outlook to support the team's goals.
