Job Summary:

Pertemps is seeking a Community Works Operative to join our team on a temporary basis for 6 months. As a Community Works Operative, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to waste management and community services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals
  • Load and unload waste and recyclables from collection vehicles
  • Perform manual lifting and handling of bulky items
  • Deliver and uplift recycling and refuse containers
  • Deliver advisory materials to residents
  • Clear and remove fly tipping and other waste
  • Uplift and dispose of dead animals, birds, and mammals
  • Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors and foremen

Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Physical fitness to perform manual labor
  • Own safety boots and willingness to wear provided PPE
