Main Function of Role: The Paraplanner plays a crucial role in managing workflows within the department, ensuring prompt and precise service to consultants. This position entails offering technical and product support throughout the sales process and assisting the Compliance department as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of personal performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct initial case evaluations to ensure all necessary information is available.
  • Research appropriate products based on client circumstances and needs, providing advisers with documented evidence of research.
  • Gather personal illustrations, key features documents, application forms, and other pertinent information to facilitate business onboarding.
  • Provide research services for specialized cases with unique requirements (e.g., health, tax).
  • Draft recommendation reports for adviser approval.
  • Maintain record-keeping to ensure all research is accessible at any stage of the process.
  • Ensure all business is thoroughly researched and files demonstrate suitability.
  • Assist compliance and other colleagues as directed.
  • Provide technical and product query support to Network members.
  • Ensure a consistent and up-to-date approach across both Independent and Restricted channels.
  • Prepare ongoing service reports for advisers, including completion of costs and charges.
  • Support the admin team with technical expertise.

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 4 or Paraplanning equivalent (RO1 RO6 essential).
  • Previous experience in Paraplanning.
  • Proficient keyboard skills and practical experience with Word, Excel, and database applications.
  • Familiarity with research software, including Capita Fusion, O&M, and Financial Express Analytics.
  • Experience with Intelligent Office CRM is advantageous.
