Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Expert in Chemicals and Fuels to join our team at Mission Possible Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our work program, focusing on hydrogen and low emissions fuels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the strategic development and delivery of projects and workstreams related to chemicals and fuels, with a focus on hydrogen, hydrogen derivatives, and other low-emissions fuels.
  • Act as the go-to subject matter expert for our organization, providing technical guidance and support to our team and stakeholders.
  • Lead projects and discrete deliverables related to chemicals and fuels, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Build and maintain relationships with a range of public and private sector stakeholders in the relevant industries, including senior executives and industry leaders.
  • Collaborate with other project leads to respond to fast-moving priorities and deliver results in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
Requirements
  • Mid-career professional with extensive experience in a high-caliber environment, such as a top-tier strategy consulting firm, government, or a leading corporate.
  • Demonstrated expertise in chemicals and fuels, including a solid working knowledge of decarbonization technologies and solutions.
  • Experience building and working with analytical tools, particularly relating to industrial and heavy transport decarbonization, and cross-cutting energy solutions.
  • Proactive and self-starter, with a strong ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, high-quality communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop compelling narratives based on quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, able to develop and nurture trusting relationships with stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with excellent digital skills and flexibility in approach.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, climate-related discipline, or STEM subject.
Desirable Requirements
  • Stakeholder engagement experience, bringing together diverse stakeholders from private sector, policy, and finance to work on energy and industry decarbonization solutions.
  • Experience working in/with membership organizations, and the corporate, NGO, and policy worlds.
