Job Description

Role Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our team of professionals in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. As a SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective learning and social development of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, tailoring your approach to meet their unique requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Learning Programs (ILPs), addressing learning barriers and promoting academic progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Use data and assessment results to inform your teaching practices and make data-driven decisions.
  • Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress.
  • Participate in school evaluations and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting social and emotional well-being among students.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic learning environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
